Well we have arrived safe and sound at VDJS after a gruelling journey. The girls are tired and ready for a good nights sleep. Tomorrow will be spent in lessons with exchange partners and introducing ourselves at the welcome assembly. From this point the girls will update the blog. We have had an exceptionally busy few days visitng the Jindal steel factory coin blanking unit and then the Agroha temple on Tuesday and shopping in Hisar yesterday. The Agroha temple was impressive with the wild monkeys roaming freely amongst the gardens and swinging from the scaffolding erected around part of the temple. The girls wandered through man made caves and had great fun scaring each other around the dark corners. The journey home was great fun as the bus driver had to dodge cows in the road and many cyclists. Shopping in Hisar has given the girls a taste of real India and they bought a range of items from Saris to Cadburys chocolate (a welcomed treat after much curry. The group caused quite a stir with many locals stopping to watch us in our frenzied shopping fest. We then got back to VDJS for dinner around 830pm and the girls then enjoyed a disco.
We are all well and enjoying our time at VDJS although it is our last day here todaybefore beginning our travels around India tomorrow. Hopefully we will have opportunity to post on here during the week at an Internet cafe however it is a packed itinerary with numerous additions so if you dont hear anything it just means we are off enjoying ourselves.
